Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

No, I do not accept insurance and there are many reasons for this. Instead, I provide clients with a superbill on request that they may submit to their insurance provider for reimbursement.

Do you provide MDMA or psilocybin-assisted therapy?

No. While I am trained to provide these services, they are not yet FDA approved. See https://clinicaltrials.gov/ to find research studies using these therapies.

Can you help me prepare for psychedelic use outside of therapy?

Yes and no. While many of my clients use psychedelics on their own, I am unable to help clients prepare for these experiences in quite the same way as those who are enrolled in KAP with me. When working with clients who use psychedelics on their own, I adopt a harm reduction approach as the primary focus of the preparation stage. Meanwhile, integration of previous psychedelic experiences is always welcome and may look quite similar to integration in KAP.

What are your rates?

My rates are between $120-180/hour, with some sliding scale and pro-bono spaces. My fee schedule is available upon request.

*Note* I do not have sliding scale or pro-bono spaces at this time

Can you provide recommendations for other psychedelic therapies?

Generally speaking, no. Most psychedelics (not including ketamine) remain illegal at the federal and state levels, though there are places in the U.S. and abroad where clients may seek legal psycedelic-assisted therapy. I may discuss these legal options and their associated risks with clients but am unable to provide specific recommendations.
